A timeline of the C. H. Beck printing house

1763 Carl Gottlob Beck founds the company in Nördlingen.
1889 Publishing is relocated to Munich but printing remains in Nördlingen.
1962 The printing house adopts offset printing.
1976 Upgrades to web offset printing.
1995 Enters the world of multimedia.
2005 Introduces two-colour web offset printing.
2007 Attains standardised process ISO 12647-2 certification in the field of sheetfed offset printing and ISO 9001:2000 certification in DIN EN quality assurance by QUACERT.
2009 Expands into hardcover production
2013 C.H.Beck.Media.Solutions Launched as a brand for typesetting and e-media services
2017 Entry into inkjet technology with the Canon Vario Print i300
2018 Digitization and automation of business processes using flowproduction
2022 Further expansion of digital printing with the Canon ProStream 1800
2025 Introduction of perfect run – the perfect solution for short runs.
